Electrostatic charging
The sheets to be cut become electrically charged owing to friction and contact, as well as an insufficient air humidity. This results in the sheets' sticking and adhering to each other which makes it very difficult to straighten the material in the automatic jogger and the high-speed cutter, and to separate the sheets later on in the postpress machines.
