In order to perform angle cuts the sheet (1) must be turned on the working area between the side gauges (2) and the backgauge (3). Therefore, the optimum cutting width depends on the diagonal of the largest format. The diagonal is calculated on the basis of the Pythagorean theorem from the root of the total of a² + b².
