The latest POLAR Compucut Version 5.0 has some essential new features for the operator
With almost 2,000 Compucut® systems installed POLAR is the global leader in workflow integration for cutting machines. POLAR's Compucut® has been on the market for more than 25 years. It allows
making use of the available prepress data and automatically generating cutting programs outside the high-speed cutter. This reduces the machine’s set-up time to almost zero.
At drupa, POLAR is now presenting the new Compucut® Generation 5.0. This version offers some outstanding features: For example, a new software platform that now allows to represent graphic languages, too.
Another extraordinary feature is true-picture representation with integrated extra information. The settings already determined in prepress can be transferred via the JDF file, e. g. the individual product sizes, production runs or pieces of information concerning the processing after cutting.
While generating the cutting program with Compucut® the operator isshown the relevant data within the true image and can take this information into account. For example, if part of the sheet must be laminated after cutting, the respective block can be omitted for the moment. The high-speed cutter operator can view essential information
direct on the screen without any time consuming search on the routing slip.
New features are the simulation of the cutting cycle, as well as the
Japanese, Chinese and Spanish language versions.
Compucut® is an essential part of the overall networking concept POLAR P-Net.
