Compucut® is a modular software system for all printing companies and print converters, which are still programming their high-speed cutters manually. To make more efficient use of both, high-speed cutters and cutting systems down times must be eliminated. The POLAR Compucut® system is the solution. Cutting programs are generated on a personal computer, working independently from the cutting process and are transferred from there to the high-sped cutter. The cutting machine can be permanently engaged in cutting.
POLAR Compucut® can be adapted to the individual requirements of the customer. With the software extension “Data transfer from prepress”, the cutter can accept CIP3 files directly from the various prepress systems. This further reduces make-ready time. The cutting programs are automatically or interactively optimized by adding relevant comments, additional functions and operator information. Cutting programs are on-line or off-line transferred directly to the cutting system. A job change is performed virtually without any set-up time.
