POLAR CutManager integrates the high-speed cutter into the digital workflow from Heidelberg.
By exchanging job and production data the P-Net Service CutManager offers advantages with respect to transparency of costs and performance as well as the production planning. In addition is the logging of production data the basis for precise cost analyses.
To do so, the Postpress Data Terminal is incorporated into the high-speed cutter. With a click, you can switch over between the machine control system and the data terminal. The Prinect Postpress Manager automatically gives the operator a list of operations for the machine. Then, the operator can start, interrupt or finish the operations. Additionally, the machine control system returns status messages and counter readings to the Prinect Postpress Manager. Such readings are picked up by the CountMonitor option, for example. This allows a complete data acquisition. Any data which has been previously gathered on daily notes is now being collected while the production is in progress.
