System for in-line production of square-cut labels
The customers' demand in label cutting is developing further toward in-line production. POLAR LabelSystem SC-21 is a system for in-line production of square-cut labels. The prepared reams are fed to the high-speed cutter and cut into strips. The strips are manually transported to the buffer/ loading table LT-S, from where they are automatically transferred to Autocut 115 (90). where a complete layer of strips (e.g. 70 x 100 cm/ 27 ½'' x 39 3/8'') is automatically loaded, aligned and cut into label stacks. All labels produced in a cutting cycle are fed to the welding station of the multi-station bander in a single pass and then banded. The preparation of cutting material and loading of the strip cutter can be carried out in the same flexible manner as on POLAR Cutting Systems. The POLAR Pressing Station can be integrated in the cutter loading process. On the LabelSystem SC-20, the pressing station increases both the cutting accuracy and the output, since the remaining air is forced out of the prepared reams and the usual cycle of "clamping without cut" can be omitted.
