Hunkeler Innovationdays: POLAR's efficient cutting solutions

From 23 to 26 February POLAR will present efficient cutting solutions at the Hunkeler Innovationdays. Presentations will focus on three-side trimmer BC 330 and cutting machine 56 NET.

At the shared booth of Heidelberg and ATS Tanner POLAR's machines will be integrated in the live production of a brochure and demonstrate how to combine high quality with economical manufacturing. One example is P-Net Compucut®. It integrates the cutting machine into the digital workflow by taking the relevant data from prepress and converting JDF files in the corresponding cutting programs. Such a program is started via bar code.

Three-side trimmer BC 330

Three-side trimmer POLAR BC 330 Three-side trimmer POLAR BC 330 The robust, networkable POLAR three-side trimmer is the perfect machine to automatically trim adhesive-bound products. The BC 330 shows superior cutting precision and handles a wide range of sizes. Formats from DIN A6 to DIN A4 can be cut directly one after the other without machine conversion. The BC 330 is operated using an ergonomically positioned 18.5" touchscreen display. The clear menu guidance ensures easy operation. A cutting program is generated in less than 1 minute. Integrated in the digital workflow, the cutting data can be transferred directly. A great variety of setting options allows to optimize the production tailored to every product. A video about the BC 330 is available at www.polar-mohr.com/bc330.

Cutting machine POLAR 56 NET

Cutting machine POLAR 56 NET Cutting machine POLAR 56 NET NET is a designation for cutting machines which can be integrated into the digital workflow. Of course, this is an important aspect when dealing with digital printing. P-Net Compucut® accepts the digital sheet layout and converts it into a cutting program which can be started directly via the integrated bar-code reader. The cutter is operated from a 18.5" touch-screen display with process visualization.  A graphic display shows the material handling and reduces the risk of errors to a minimum.
